Call center operator job with no experience: pay and interview

Also available in:
Updated: 9 October 2026. All numbers come from open vacancies on Cloz.
A call center operator job is one of the easiest first jobs to get in Uzbekistan without experience. On 9 October 2026, Cloz had 146 open call center operator vacancies, and 46 of them did not ask for any experience. In Tashkent, typical pay for the role is about 5 million so'm a month.
Below: what the work involves, who gets hired, what it pays, and how to pass the test call at the interview.

What does a call center operator do?

An operator spends the day on the phone with customers and records each call in a computer system. Vacancies usually describe one of three kinds of work.
  • Inbound calls. Customers call you to place an order, ask about a price or make a complaint. Examples are the call centers of fast food chains and retail stores. This is the easiest kind for a beginner.
  • Outbound calls. You make the calls: you confirm orders, remind people about payments or run surveys.
  • Phone sales. This is the sales operator role. You explain a product or a course and sell it, and part of your income is a percentage of your sales. Cloz has 97 sales operator vacancies right now.
One sales vacancy in Tashkent says: "you work with warm leads, there are no cold calls". This means you call people who already showed interest in the product. That is much easier than calling strangers. At the interview, ask which kind of calls you will make.

Who gets hired: languages, computer skills and experience

Experience. 46 of the 146 call center vacancies need no experience, about one in three. For sales operators the share is higher: 40 of 97. Many employers write "we will train you". For example, one training center hires people who have never used a CRM and teaches them on the job.
Languages. Fluent, polite Uzbek is the main requirement. 42 of the 146 vacancies also ask for Russian, so Russian gives you many more options. English is rare: only 2 vacancies ask for it.
Computer skills. Basic skills are usually enough: Word, Excel and the internet. Fast typing helps a lot, because you enter the order while you talk to the customer.
Age and gender. 143 of the 146 vacancies are open to women and 84 to men. Many posts give an age range, for example 18–35.
If you have no experience, put communication skills and languages at the top of your resume. Here is how: What to put on a resume with no experience. All jobs that need no experience are in this list.

How much does a call center operator earn?

The table shows the "typical pay" that Cloz displays on each vacancy page. It is the middle half of salaries in similar vacancies for the same role and region. The median is the value exactly in the middle. Data as of 9 October 2026.

The range for sales operators is wider because income depends on sales. Some earn 3 million, others more than 8 million.
How the pay is built. Usually from two parts: a fixed salary and a bonus or KPI. Examples from vacancies posted on 8 October 2026:
  • a call center in Tashkent: 2.5 million so'm fixed, 5–10 million with bonuses;
  • a sales operator in Fergana: from 3 million so'm plus KPI, up to 10 million;
  • phone sales in Tashkent: commission only, paid weekly, 1–3 million so'm a week;
  • a fast food call center in Bukhara: paid daily, 130,000–150,000 so'm a day.
"Up to 20 million" in a post is the top result, not normal pay. At the interview, ask: "What is the fixed part? How much do new operators usually earn in their first month?"

Shifts, working hours and remote work

Of the 146 vacancies, 110 are full-time, 35 are shift work and 6 are part-time. The most common schedule is six days on, one day off, for example 09:00–17:00 or 08:00–18:00. Shift jobs often have two shifts: morning (09:00–17:00) and evening (16:00–21:00).
If you study, an evening shift or part-time work is easier to combine. But ask first: one vacancy in Namangan says it does not hire students. More options for students: Part-time jobs for students in Tashkent.
33 vacancies offer free meals and 4 offer transport.
Can you work from home? Remote operator jobs are rare: 2 of 146. One of them lists clear requirements:
  • your own computer or laptop (a phone or tablet will not work);
  • a headset with a microphone;
  • a stable wired internet connection;
  • a quiet place to work.
Cloz shows typical pay of 3.1–5.5 million so'm for that vacancy. Be careful with "easy work from home" offers: scammers often use exactly this promise.

How to pass the interview: the test call

Many call centers include a test call in the interview. The interviewer plays a customer and you play the operator. Your voice, calm and structure matter more here than knowledge.
Practise with this script:
  1. Greet and introduce yourself. "Hello, [company name], my name is [your name]. How can I help you?"
  1. Ask a question. "Which product are you interested in? Where did you see it?" Do not interrupt the customer.
  1. Make a short offer. "This option suits you: it costs … so'm, and delivery is tomorrow."
  1. Answer an objection. Customer: "That's expensive." You: "I understand. You can pay in instalments, … so'm a month. Shall we look at that option?"
  1. Close the call. "Let me confirm your order: … Thank you for calling, have a good day!"
A few tips:
  • Speak slowly and clearly. People can hear a smile on the phone.
  • Write down the customer's name and use it.
  • Practise with a friend, or record yourself on your phone and listen.
  • If you say you speak Uzbek and Russian, expect them to switch languages in the middle of the test.

How to tell a real call center from a scam

Some "operators wanted" posts are scams. Check before you go to an interview:
They do not ask for money for hiring, training, a uniform or a "database"
The company name and office address are clear
The fixed pay, or how your income is calculated, is clear
They do not ask for your card details, an SMS code or a photo of your passport on Telegram
There are no promises like "1 hour a day from home, 10 million"
They tell you in advance whether training or trial days are paid
If even one item fails, stop the conversation. More details: Fake job offers on Telegram: 12 warning signs.
