Also available in:
Updated: 25 October 2026. All numbers come from open vacancies on Cloz and are refreshed monthly.
There are IT jobs in Uzbekistan, but most of them are for people with experience. As of 25 October 2026, Cloz lists 63 open vacancies in its "IT, Programming" category, 23 of them in Tashkent. Employers mostly want backend, frontend and full-stack developers, QA engineers and computer technicians.
Below: which IT jobs are open, which skills employers ask for, what they pay, how much is remote, and how to get in without experience.

Vacancy titles stay in the language the employer used, so some are in Uzbek or Russian. Many IT postings themselves are written in English.

Which skills do employers ask for?

These are the technologies named most often in the 63 vacancies:
  1. Git: 18 of 63
  1. SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL): 15
  1. JavaScript or TypeScript: 13
  1. React: 12
  1. Python: 10
  1. Node.js or NestJS: 9
  1. Docker or Kubernetes: 8
  1. Linux: 6
  1. PHP (Laravel): 4
Languages matter too. English is required in 17 of the 63 vacancies and Russian in 8. Even junior roles ask for English: the Junior Full Stack Developer role in Tashkent wants level B2.

How much do IT jobs pay?

25 of the 63 vacancies state a salary. The rest say "discussed at the interview". In that case, check the "typical pay" block on the vacancy page: it shows the median and the middle 50% of pay in similar postings.
Role and region
Typical monthly pay
Median
Postings
Backend developer, Tashkent
11.8–27.5 million soum
17.7 million

Full-stack developer, Tashkent
11.9–27.1 million soum

Frontend (React), Tashkent

164
IT specialist, regions
4–11.5 million soum
6 million
101
Information security intern
3.75–6 million soum
5 million

The gap between Tashkent and the regions is large. A backend developer's median in Tashkent is almost three times that of an IT specialist in the regions. Examples from postings: DevOps for banking systems in Tashkent from 30 million soum, a backend developer from 700 dollars, a computer specialist in Karshi 2.5–6 million soum.

How many IT jobs are remote?

14 of the 63 IT vacancies allow remote work, more than one in five. One more is hybrid. In Tashkent itself, only 1 of 23 is remote: local companies prefer the office.
Most remote vacancies come from foreign companies. 7 of the 14 state pay in US dollars, euros or roubles, 1 in soum, and 6 give no amount. For example, the Middle Fullstack Developer (PHP/Laravel + React) role offers 2,000–2,700 dollars a month. These jobs almost always need English and 2–3 years of experience or more.

How to get into IT without experience: 5 steps

To be honest: on 25 October, no vacancy in the IT category is marked "no experience needed". Where experience is stated, 17 ask for 1–3 years and 5 for 3–6 years. But there is a way in.
  1. Pick one direction. The most requested stacks are JavaScript/TypeScript with React and Node.js, or Python. QA is an easier entry point.
  1. Learn the basics. Git, SQL and English appear in almost every vacancy. Do not apply without them.
  1. Build 2–3 real projects. Employers ask for a GitHub or portfolio link. Keep your code public.
  1. Watch for internships and junior roles. For example, Uzum Bank is hiring an information security intern for a paid 6-month internship, with a possible move to a junior role after it.
  1. Start in a nearby job. Computer technician and IT support roles exist in the regions too, and they give you experience. From there you can move to system administration or DevOps.

What cybersecurity jobs are there?

On 25 October, a search for "kiberxavfsizlik" (cybersecurity) finds 5 vacancies on Cloz, and "axborot xavfsizligi" (information security) finds 7. That is not many, but they cover different levels:
  • Intern: in Uzum Bank's monitoring team. Basic knowledge of networks (OSI, TCP/IP), logs, firewalls and SIEM, plus Uzbek and Russian.
  • Lead: an information security project lead in Tashkent.
People usually move into cybersecurity after working as a system administrator or network engineer. Good knowledge of Linux, Windows and networks is the first step.

How to avoid the "buy our course and we will hire you" scheme

None of the 63 IT vacancies open on 25 October asks candidates to pay for a course, training or "paperwork". An honest employer does not charge you to hire you.
Before you apply, check:
Buying a paid course is not a condition of the job
Nobody asks for an advance payment "with a job guarantee"
The test task does not require money or card details
You can check the company name and its office
The salary is not several times above the market
