Looking for a teaching job in Uzbekistan, at a state school, a private school or a learning centre? There are openings, most of all for English and maths teachers. On 9 October 2026, the Education section on Cloz had 542 open vacancies.
This guide covers where teaching jobs are posted, which subjects are in demand, what certificates employers ask for, how to prepare a demo lesson and what the pay looks like.
Where are teaching jobs posted?
Schools and learning centres usually post vacancies in three places:
- Telegram channels. Regional and city job channels, and the schools' and centres' own channels. Posts move down the feed quickly, so check them every day.
- The school's or centre's own page. Some post "we need a teacher" only on their own page. Follow the places you want to work at.
- Cloz. Cloz collects vacancies from hundreds of Telegram channels and from employers in one place. You can filter by subject, region and type of work.

State school, private school or learning centre: what is the difference?
On 9 October 2026 we opened and read 17 vacancies from the Education section. The three types of employer write their posts differently and check different things.
State school | Private school | Learning centre | |
The post | Short: often only the subject and the class, for example "chemistry for a Russian-language class" | Detailed: requirements, schedule, benefits | Short, often with a pay range |
Schedule | Rarely stated; part-time posts also appear | Full day, 5 days a week, for example 9:00–17:00 | Often afternoons, for example 14:00–19:00, 6 days a week |
Pay in the post | Not stated in the posts we read | 7–9 million, from 9 million, 9–12 million soum | Wide range: 5–15 million soum; sometimes a share of student fees |
What they check | Ask on the phone | A university degree, 1–3 or more years of experience; Russian for Russian-language classes | IELTS 7–8, national certificate A or A+, your students' results, a test |
Check how percentage pay works. In one learning centre's post, pay is 40% of what students pay: 10 students give 1.8 million soum, 20 students give 3.6 million. At the interview, ask how many students a group usually has.
Which subjects are in demand?
Open vacancies on Cloz profession pages on 9 October 2026:
Job | Vacancies |
86 | |
66 | |
59 | |
Russian teacher | 40 |
Chemistry teacher | 17 |
Biology teacher | 11 |
Physics teacher | 7 |
History teacher | 7 |
Private schools often look for teachers for Russian-language classes. If you can teach in Russian, you will have many more options.
What documents and certificates do employers ask for?
This checklist comes from the requirements in the posts we read. It is not a list of legal requirements. Ask each school or centre for its exact list.
Degree. A university degree in your subject or in teaching. One post also accepts students who are still studying the subject.
Language certificate. For English, IELTS: from 7.0 to 8.0 in the posts we saw. For Arabic, CEFR B2 or At-Tanal.
National certificate. Maths and biology posts ask for level A or A+, or list it as a plus.
Experience. 8 of the 17 posts ask for experience, most often 1 to 3 years.
CV. One page: subject, experience, certificate scores and your students' results.
Passport and copies of your degree for the interview.
Keep your documents safe
A real school does not charge you for a job. If someone asks for a "certificate check fee" or "training fee", stop the conversation. Send a copy of your passport only when you are sure the employer is real. More: Fake job offers on Telegram.
How to prepare a demo lesson
Some private schools and centres want to see you teach, not only talk to you. One post says directly that knowledge, teaching method and character are checked through a special test. In another, the head teacher sits in on new teachers' trial lessons.
How to prepare:
- Ask about the conditions first. Which grade, how many students, how many minutes, which topic and which language.
- Plan for the time you have. Start, explain, practise, sum up. Do not add extra topics.
- Let the students talk. Ask questions and use pair work. Do not talk for the whole lesson yourself.
- Bring one simple visual aid. Cards or a diagram on the board are enough. The lesson should work even if the projector does not.
- Check at the end. Two or three short questions show what the students understood.
- Review your own lesson. Be ready to say what went well and what you would change.
How much do teachers earn?
The table shows the typical monthly pay for each job on Cloz: the median of vacancies that state a salary, and the range that the middle half falls into. Data from 9 October 2026.
Job | Typical pay | Most posts | Vacancies counted |
Kindergarten teacher | 3.1 million soum | 2.75–4.05 million | 129 |
Russian teacher | 7.9 million soum | 5.1–9 million | 42 |
English teacher | 9 million soum | 6–10 million | 122 |
Maths teacher | 9 million soum | 5.5–10.75 million | 90 |
Arabic teacher | 9 million soum | 6.5–12.5 million | 35 |
Chemistry teacher | 10 million soum | 6.85–11 million | 43 |
Primary school teacher | 10 million soum | 8–13 million | 49 |
Biology teacher | 11.1 million soum | 9.1–15 million | 42 |
Read these numbers with care. Mostly private schools and learning centres put pay in their posts. State schools usually do not, so the table says little about them.
The highest offers are at international schools: one international school in Tashkent offered 26–50 million soum for an IELTS teacher. To check whether an offer matches the market, read How to know your market value.

How the data was collected
All figures were taken from Cloz on 9 October 2026. Vacancy counts come from the counters on the Education section, its regional pages and the profession pages. Pay is Cloz's typical pay for each job: the median of vacancies that state a salary; the number of those vacancies is in the table. Notes on employer types, requirements and demo lessons come from 17 vacancies we read by hand. We do not name employers or share their contacts.
The list is updated every day. If nothing fits today, check again in a day or two.
