Jobs for Pensioners in Tashkent: What's on Offer for Over-50s (2026)

Also available in:
Updated 8 October 2026. All figures come from open listings on Cloz.
Looking for work after retirement, for yourself or for a parent? There are jobs for pensioners and over-50s in Tashkent, but you need to know how to sort through them. We went through the latest listings on Cloz to see what is on offer, what it pays and what to check first.
On 8 October 2026, Cloz's "Jobs for pensioners (50+) in Tashkent" list had 63 open vacancies. It updates every day.

First things first: check the age in the listing

The 50+ list includes vacancies that accept people aged 50 or over. But each employer sets its own upper age limit.
On 8 October 2026 we opened and read 9 vacancies from this list:
  • 7 set a limit of 50 or 55;
  • 2 gave no age at all.
The takeaway is simple. If you are 60 or older, look for listings with no age stated. Or call and ask directly: "I'm 62. Would you consider me?" It saves time for you and for the employer.

What about a security guard or watchman? There are none in the 50+ list right now. They do appear in the general search: the typical guard salary on Cloz is about UZS 4 million a month (median of 104 listings, October 2026). But some of these listings set a low age limit, such as 22–28, so check the age before the interview.

Is the pay fair? Compare it with the typical rate

Compare the pay in a listing with the "Typical on Cloz" column. It shows whether an employer pays above or below the going rate. Examples from the table:
  • Cleaner, UZS 3–3.8 million. Typical: about 3.9 million. In line with the market.
  • Print shop worker, UZS 2.5–4 million. Typical: about 4.5 million. Below the norm, but they take people with no experience and train them.
  • Company car driver, UZS 4.6 million. Typical: about 5.5 million. A little lower, but overtime is paid separately.
  • Electrician, UZS 3–5 million. Typical: about 6 million. Below the norm.
  • Presser, from UZS 7 million. Typical: about 4.75 million. Above the norm, but you need 5 years' experience.
If the pay is far above the typical rate and the listing asks for almost nothing, be careful. More on that below, in the section on scams.

Jobs for older women: sewing, pressing, cleaning

40 of the 63 over-50s vacancies in Tashkent are open to women. Most of them are in three areas.
  • Sewing workshops. Most of the new vacancies are in Sergeli, at UZS 5–15 million. One listing offers three hot meals a day and a dormitory.
  • Dry cleaning and pressing. From UZS 7 million, but they ask for at least 5 years' experience. Some employers write "don't call, send a CV with a photo". Do what the listing asks.
  • Cleaning. UZS 3–3.8 million in residential complexes, UZS 3–6 million in cafés. The café job includes free breakfast and lunch, with shifts from 07:00 to 17:00 or 11:00 to 22:00.
Nanny. There are no nanny jobs in the 50+ list right now. There are plenty in the general search, and the typical nanny salary on Cloz is about UZS 4 million (median of 73 listings). But many families and nurseries set an age limit, such as "25–45". If the age in the listing doesn't fit, you can still call and ask.

Work close to home: by district

Crossing the city every day is tiring, so start with your own district.
We looked at the 50 newest vacancies in the 50+ list. 24 of them name a district:
  • Sergeli — 8 (7 of them in sewing);
  • Almazar — 4;
  • Mirzo-Ulugbek — 4;
  • Yunusabad — 3;
  • Yakkasaray and Chilanzar — 2 each;
  • Mirabad — 1.
The rest just say "Tashkent". Ask for the address on the phone.
How to search by district:
  1. Open the 50+ list for Tashkent. If the employer named the district, it shows on the vacancy card.
  1. Or open your district's page. It lists every vacancy in the district, without the age filter:
  1. On a district page, check the age in each vacancy.

Part-time and flexible work

To be honest, there are almost no part-time vacancies marked 50+ in Tashkent right now. On 8 October 2026 we found one out of 63.
What you can do:
  • Look for short or flexible hours. An example from the list: a driver with their own car, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening, UZS 3–4 million.
  • Shift patterns are common for security guards. One October 2026 listing offers 1 day on, 2 days off, for UZS 3 million a month. That is more days off than a 6-day week. But the age is limited here too: 22–28 in that listing.

How to apply

Every vacancy page on Cloz has the employer's contacts and an apply button. Run through this list before you call.
Before you call:
The age in the listing fits you, or no age is given
The address is clear and you know how to get there
Hours and pay are stated
You understand what the job involves
Nobody is asking for money up front
You have a pen and paper ready for the address and meeting time
What to say on the phone. Short and to the point:
"Hello, I'm calling about the seamstress vacancy on Cloz. I'm 61 and I've been sewing for 20 years. Do you consider candidates my age? Where is the workshop, and what are the hours?"
If you are calling for your mother or father, say so straight away. The employer will probably want to speak to the candidate, so keep them nearby.
What to bring to the meeting. Your passport. Ask on the phone whether you need other documents, such as your employment record book, diploma or certificates.

Watch out for scams

A real employer never charges you for a job. If someone asks for a "registration fee", "training fee" or "deposit", end the conversation.
Never share your card details or SMS codes with anyone. If in doubt, look the company up yourself and call its official number.
