Job Details

Company: Globe Transportation ( Company Instagram)

Globe Transportation is seeking an analytical, proactive Fuel & Toll Department Specialist to take full ownership of our fleet's fuel and toll economy. Your primary mission is to minimize fuel and toll expenditures by planning precise fueling and toll routes, managing discount networks, tracking idle time, and preventing fuel card fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Fuel Routing & Stop Planning: Provide drivers with mandatory, turn-by-turn fueling plans (exact station, exit, and gallon limits) to capture the lowest net price per gallon.

·         Network & Tier Optimization: Direct fleet volume to preferred national networks (Love's, Pilot Flying J, TA-Petro) to secure and maintain maximum volume-tier discounts.

·         IFTA & Net Cost Strategy: Calculate true net cost by balancing pre-tax base prices against state fuel tax liabilities rather than relying on pump sticker prices.

·         Idle Time & APU Management: Monitor ELD telematics (Samsara / Motive) to track engine idling, audit APU usage, and coach drivers to stay within fuel efficiency targets.

·         Card Security & Fraud Prevention: Monitor real-time card activity, enforce dynamic gallon caps based on tank capacity, and eliminate unauthorized charges or fuel theft.

·         Reefer & DEF Control: Audit tractor vs. reefer fuel transactions and ensure proper allocation of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).

Requirements:

·         1+ year in Fuel Department in US trucking operations.

·         Strong knowledge of US interstate freight corridors, major truck stop networks, and IFTA tax mechanics.

·         Experience auditing telematics data (Samsara, Motive, or similar ELD systems).

·         Solid analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (cost variance, transaction audits).

·         Professional English (written and verbal) to direct drivers clearly and assertively.
