About the Role:

53 Group is looking for an experienced Senior Fleet Specialist to take ownership of the most challenging fleet operations. In this role, you'll manage complex breakdowns, minimize downtime, and ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational. You'll play a key role in maintaining high performance standards while mentoring junior team members and supporting the overall success of the Fleet Department.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in fleet or maintenance coordination within the US trucking industry

  • Strong knowledge of Freightliner Cascadia maintenance, preventive maintenance intervals, and common mechanical issues

  • Proven experience managing roadside breakdowns from start to finish

  • Solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA inspection standards and pre-trip inspection (PTI) requirements

  • Experience working with repair shops, vendors, parts suppliers, and warranty claims

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) and Russian

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to stay organized and perform effectively under pressure

  • Confident user of TMS, ELD, and fleet maintenance tracking systems

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of high-priority breakdowns and roadside repairs, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime

  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules and keep every unit serviced on time

  • Ensure assigned vehicles remain fully compliant with DOT regulations and inspection requirements

  • Review repair estimates, identify unreasonable charges, and negotiate with repair shops when necessary

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, repair timelines, spare parts, and warranty claims

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and fleet data within the TMS

  • Support and mentor junior Fleet Coordinators while maintaining high operational standards

  • Identify recurring maintenance issues and cost trends, reporting findings to the Fleet Manager
