About the Position:
Globe Transportation is looking for an experienced Dry Van / Reefer Dispatcher to join our team. We are seeking a responsible and proactive professional who understands the US trucking market and can effectively manage loads, drivers, and broker communication.
Responsibilities:
• Source, negotiate, and book high-paying Dry Van and Reefer loads through DAT, Truckstop, and direct broker relationships.
• Manage reefer temperature requirements, including continuous and cycle-sentry settings, pre-cooling checks, pulp temperatures, and seal protocols.
• Track active loads 24/7 and provide timely updates to brokers and customers.
• Coordinate delivery appointments, lumpers, detention, and layover situations.
• Plan efficient routes while monitoring driver Hours of Service (HOS).
• Minimize empty miles and maximize truck utilization.
• Handle unexpected operational issues and resolve problems quickly.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience as a dispatcher in the US trucking industry.
• Strong knowledge of US freight lanes and seasonal reefer markets, including produce and meat lanes.
• Solid understanding of reefer operations, detention, and layover management.
• Experience working with DAT and Truckstop.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
