About the Position

AA FREIGHT INC is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with transportation safety regulations, reducing operational risks, and supporting drivers and management in maintaining the highest safety standards across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQ Files).

• Conduct Driver and Truck Onboarding, including PSP, MVR, Clearinghouse, Drug Testing, and related compliance procedures.

• Review and monitor vehicle inspections (DVIRs).

• Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations.

• Handle accident reporting and traffic citation management.

• Perform Hours of Service (HOS) and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance reviews.

• Manage FMCSA, CSA, SMS, and DataQs processes and records.

• Identify unsafe driving behaviors, including speeding, fatigue, and regulatory violations.

• Assist with insurance documentation, IRP, permits, and tax-related compliance matters.

• Enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and implement preventive safety procedures.

• Support violation reduction initiatives and compliance risk management programs.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in transportation safety, fleet compliance, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and industry compliance standards.

• Knowledge of DQ Files, HOS, ELD systems, and driver onboarding procedures.

• Experience with accident investigations and safety reporting.

• Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations is an advantage.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
